The National Roadside Vegetation Management Association (NRVMA) will hold its 2018 Annual Conference September 11-13 at the Chattanooga Downtown Marriott and Convention Center. This year will be significant in that we will be celebrating our 35th Anniversary. 

 

The NRVMA room rate for the conference will be $103.00 plus tax. Parking in the hotel deck will be $7.00 per day with unlimited in and out privileges. The cutoff date for this rate will be August 19, 2018.

The Planning Committee has been hard at work getting the speaker/topics evaluated and completed to make this Conference an Educational Experience for those that deal with Vegetation Management issues on a daily basis. We are in the process of confirming on the selected speakers. Once those are confirmed the agenda will be added to the website.

 

If you or your agency have been fortunate enough to receive the Turney J. Hernandez Award of Excellence, formerly the NRVMA Roadside Excellence Award, we ask that you make every effort to attend the Conference. The Association would like to recognize you at the Awards Breakfast. Our plans are to emphasize the history of the Award and the vision of our Founder, Turney Hernandez, who passed away on January 1, 2018.

A Word About
NRVMA

NRVMA is an educational, non-profit organization dedicated to providing expertise, solutions and networking opportunities to personnel involved in integrated roadside vegetation management. We are a network of federal, state, county, city, university and industry personnel, all working towards safe, beautiful roadsides.

NRVMA was established to bring together personnel interested and involved in integrated roadside vegetation management through employment, research, education, regulation, contracting, manufacturing or merchandise.

PURPOSES OF NRVMA

  • Exchanging ideas, opinions, experiences, information and solutions;

  • Discussing integrated vegetation management activities related to safety, functional and operational characteristics, economy, roadside beautification and aesthetics, and ecological soundness;

  • Promoting coordinated, integrated efforts among those interested and engaged in roadside vegetation management;

  • Establishing and administering standards of recognition for roadside vegetation managers;

  • Providing the manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of roadside vegetation management products, equipment, material and services the opportunity to introduce and demonstrate their capabilities.
